The Occupational T herapy works on children with learning and sensomotor disorders mostly based on the method of "sensomotor integrationtherapy". T hose disorders are neurogenic disfunctions of a non cerebral-organic geneses. The present report describes examplifying the therapeutical process of a five-jear-old boy with the diagnosis of visual perception disorder. The traditional understanding in medicine and psychology for this kind of non-cerebral-organic developmental disorder actually does not allow an emotional conflict nor psychoenergetical processes as primary causing factors. However, the disorder itself of that child is meant here as a symptom caused by a grave birth-trauma and not as a primary causing reason for the symptoms. The writer tries to make sensible for a new understanding for this kind of retardations in infants development.
